Interview with Michael Lucas

Michael, what is your favorite porn with you in it?

There are so many that it would be difficult for me to pick just one. I probably enjoy my Vengeance character the most, where I play the dominant role of a mafia boss. But, in contrast, I also like to play the softer, more romantic roles that I've played in my Fire Island [Cruising] movies.

Which costars have you had the most fun?

I really prefer not to single anyone out. I've had many favorites.

How many films have you been in?

I've been in most of my own, so just about 20 in all.

How many films have you produced?

24, and we're in preproduction on the 25th and 26th. We have a release scheduled now every six weeks.

How did you first start doing porn?

As soon as I arrived in the U.S., I did a few really bad movies for a lousy West Coast company, and they're much too boring to talk about. I honestly felt that jerking off on my own would have been more thrilling.

Any advice for someone wanting to get into porn?

If you're on the East Coast, I'd welcome you very much to come audition for me. The last thing I'd recommend is for anyone to go through an agent. Just go directly to the company you want to work for and contact them yourself. It's as simple as that.

What type of guys do you go for?

Everyone knows by now that I am notorious for using a multiracial, multiethnic cast, mixing Latinos, uncut Europeans, skinny, masculine, hair, smooth, twinks, mature you name it. I try to appeal to every taste out there. The only requirement for any of them is that they need to take care of themselves, go to the gym and maintain a healthy lifestyle. In regard to my personal taste, I go from any of the above, just as long as they're hot!

You've been on a few television shows haven't you?

Yes, my first show in America was on the RuPaul Show, where I was knighted as the best foreign porn star. I was also recently on the Ricki Lake Show (which aired on April 28), and I was also just recently on the Howard Stern show.
