Interview with Danny Roddick

How did you get into the porn industry?

My boyfriend and I were introduced to Kristofer Weston and John Rutherford at the Folsom Street Fair in 2005, and the rest is history.

What was the first movie you made?

The first movie was HARD Studies.

How many movies have you made so far?

I think I’m up to six now; the last one was Muscle Ranch II.

Who was the first person you had sex with onscreen?

I first had sex onscreen with my boyfriend, Buckshot Man Alex Chandler. At the time, we were both quite nervous and didn’t know what to expect, but we actually really enjoyed it once we got started.

Growing up, was the first person you ever had sex with a boy or girl?

A boy. I like men!

How old were you?

Fifteen, with a friend.

Who do you want to work with onscreen?

I’m not sure. I totally hit it off with Jan Fisher when shooting Brotherhood, so I wouldn’t turn down working with him again!

I understand that award-winning director Jerry Douglas wrote a movie for you. Anything you can tell us about it?

Yes. It’s an amazing script called Brotherhood, which all takes place one night in a frat house with a bunch of horny fraternity brothers. We just finished production, and I’m really excited about it.

Working in the porn industry - is it easy or hard to date? And why?

It depends on who you date and if they are also in the Industry as well. It’s all still new to me. I think dating is never easy, so porn does make it more challenging for sure.

Does your family know that you a porn star?

I recently told my mom, and to my surprise, she was really supportive about all of this. She told me that she always knew I was a star. I love you, Mom.

You’re up for three Grabbys, and you are a Trophy Stud at this year’s awards show. Your fans in Chicago want to know, have you ever slept with a fan?

Three Grabbys are so exciting, and, yes, I’ve slept with a fan before, but they didn’t tell me they knew who I was till afterwards.

Anything special planned while you’re in Chicago?

Actually, I want to visit the Chicago Botanical Gardens while I’m in Chicago.
