Interview with Bret Wolfe

Before we get started talking about sex, I have to say, "Welcome to Chicago," but why the move from L.A. to Chicago?

I fell in love with Chicago and its people. It's truly an amazing city with warmth in its people that impressed me to the core. I had been coming here for various industry-related events and was continually amazed by Chicago. Los Angeles is a hard, malevolent town with people who are hidden under facades created to display a false reality. It's a very sad way to live and I was sick of it. I need spirit and Chicago embraces that. As for the weather, I hate the heat so the constant sun of California will not be missed.

All I can say is L.A.'s loss is our gain. But let's talk about all those awards you've won leading off with the Newcomer of the Year awards not only from the GayVNs but also the Grabbys.

It's overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but at times, it's a bit unbelievable. This year has been incredible. Personal growth, sexual growth and self-discovery have all come out of it. Plus I really have had the time of my life. I get to have sex with some of the hottest guys out there. That's something you have to love. I love this job and I love the fact that I am recognized by my peers for doing something that I truly love. When it was announced that I had won more awards in my first year of porn than anybody else in history, gay or straight, well, that was amazing. It's just me, for Christ's sake!

What's the story behind your losing your Grabby award?

At an after-party celebrating our wins, I set it down with Ms. Chi Chi La Rue. After returning a few minutes later (nature called), we were all shocked to find that it had been lifted (I still love the people here, really). I thought that I would never see my Grabby again. Desperate searches, calls to the Bar - no luck.

On my final day in Chicago, I was out with friends and some random guy comes up to me and asks if I am Bret Wolfe. It turns out on the night of the Grabbys some "person" arrived at his home with my Grabby in hand. Recognizing immediately that the "person" in question was not myself, he snatched the award from the individual and held onto it for me. It's now proudly displayed. I am just curious as to what you would do with the award. My name is on it. Bizarre. Stand in front of your mirror and practice your Bret Wolfe speech?

Now lets talk about the sex. What is your favorite porn with you in it?

I have a couple of favorites. I hope that's ok. I had a blast making White Trash and Rod Berry was amazing. He has such great comic timing, a natural, plus he is one amazing fuck, plus it's a thrill to watch. It's so fuckin' funny and the sex - all of it is so amazingly hot. And Dirty Director from Raging Stallion - the best sex of my life was on the set of that movie. So trust me - that movie is in my top spot.

Which costars have you had the most fun with?

Michael Soldier (Dirty Director), again, because he was so great to work with. Chad Hunt (Aftershock). It was great to finally work with Chad. He discovered me so it was great to finally work together. And last but not least, Michael Brandon - this is a guy with a great heart and an amazing cock.

With whom do you still want to work?

Marco Rochelle. He is an amazing fuck (I know from experience) and I think the chemistry would be great on camera. He's beautiful and his eyes are amazing - he has this way of staring deep into you while, well, while he is deep into you. No pun intended.

Have you ever slept with a fan?

But of course. It's the fans that make it all worthwhile. And they have provided for some of the best encounters yet.

How did you get started in porn?

You can blame Chad Hunt for that. We cruised each other one night in L.A. I took him home. He fucked me beyond reason, was impressed by my "abilities" and the next day I was meeting with the people at Channel One. And a porn star was born. It really was like that. Great sex leads to even better sex.

What can a guy do to make you hard?

Kiss me. And be good at it. I am such a sucker for a good kisser. I am dirty and a total pig in bed. But to get me there you have to be a great kisser.

Shaved or natural?

Naturally smooth - I have little to no body hair. When I was younger (a teenager) I hated it. I thought that you had to have body hair to be a "man." Little did I know that being smooth would be an asset as well as a pleasure. Now I love the way God made me.

7.5 uncut. Who knew a white boy from California could be uncut?

How did you come up with your porn name?

Impulse. I wish that there was some wild and crazy story but, alas, I was fiddling around with the whole animal theme (Cougar, Wolfe, Hawke) and it kind of all fell into place.

What qualities do you look for in a man?
